In the first quarter of 2025, the top film and television applications in Europe showcased varied performance trends on a unified platform, combining iOS and Android data. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for these popular apps.

VK Video: shows, films, series experienced a notable decline in weekly downloads, starting from over 1.1M at the end of December 2024, dropping to approximately 458K by the end of March 2025. Despite this, weekly active users remained relatively stable, peaking at around 9.2M in early February before settling at about 8.1M by the end of the quarter.

Netflix saw a steady decline in both weekly downloads and active users. Downloads decreased from 1M in late December 2024 to about 434K by the end of March 2025. Similarly, active users dropped from 45.9M to 38.7M over the quarter. However, weekly revenue showed resilience, fluctuating around $750K to $1M, with a peak in late February.

Amazon Prime Video displayed strong revenue performance, with figures peaking at over $5.2M in late February before settling around $4M by the end of March. Downloads decreased from 829K to just under 400K, while active users followed a similar downward trend, starting at 15.2M and ending at 11.9M.

Disney+ maintained high revenue levels throughout the quarter, reaching a peak of approximately $10.5M at the end of March. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 555K in early March before dropping to around 360K. Active users remained consistent, hovering around 14M to 15.2M.

Finally, HBO Max: Stream Movies & TV showed steady weekly revenue, with a noticeable peak of over $3M in late February. Downloads trended downward from 415K to 245K, while active users showed slight fluctuations, ending the quarter around 4.5M.
